# How Lab Dynamo works

Lab Dynamo connects orders, specimens, instruments, review, and results in one system.

1. Order: client practices order online in a Lab Dynamo portal.
2. Accession: SparkLIS receives and labels the specimen and routes it to the right work queue.
3. Run: SparkRelay middleware sends worklists to instruments and returns results without retyping.
4. Review: QC is checked, out-of-range results are flagged, and the lab verifies and releases.
5. Deliver: results go to the client EHR over HL7, appear in the portal, and charges flow to billing.
